Do you know the true story of Valentine's Day? Nowadays, many of us tend to see Valentine's Day as a basically commercial celebration, invented by florists... However Valentin was real: he was a Roman priest who lived in the third century and was decapitated for having celebrated marriages when it was forbidden. Indeed, under the Emperor, the soldiers could not marry as long as they were fit to fight - but the priest Valentin married them secretly, to enable them to live this commitment before going to war. I find this story so inspiring, far from what this day means for a lot of people. For my part, with Maxime, we do not really celebrate it, we have a date together once a week, so we do not feel the need to have two ;) . I find however, that it is a good excuse, being Valentine's Day or not, to take some time to cherish a meaningful relationship. As of now, we do not have children, and we are both entrepreneurs, so we manage our time more easily, even if our life is not rythmed like other couples, but who knows? Maybe later in life we will love to have this time for us. We all need a little push to be romantic.
For this special time, we organized a photo shoot with LA SHOOTING BOX. I chose the photographer Amandine and I loved her. She immediately put us at ease, and I think it was a good exercise for both of us, especially with our wedding getting so close.
The session lasts 45 minutes and a week later, the pictures are ready to be downloaded (about a dozen). The photos are very well retouched, and I loved them! I wished that it wasn't so cold outside and we could have taken our coats off... The price is unbeatable: 100 euros. I often work with photographers, and prices are often much higher. They offer a couple of other packages, for families, or babies.
